Billy Graham
“The second coming of Christ will be so revolutionary that it will change every aspect of life on this planet. Christ will reign in righteousness. Disease will be arrested. Death will be modified. War will be abolished. Nature will be changed. Man will live as it was originally intended he should live.”
Sermon Talks
- What caught your attention in this week’s message? Was there something you had never heard before or something you had a question about?
- How eagerly are you waiting for the return of Jesus? What practical differences does that eagerness make in your life?
- What are things that tend to distract you as you wait for Jesus’ return? How might you eliminate those distractions?
- Read the following passages and discuss what they mean to you. Luke 12:35-37, John 5:24, and John 14:1-4.
- Read 2 Peter 3:10-14. Are you at peace with God? Do you know for certain that you are prepared for the home in heaven that Jesus has prepared for all who believe?
The only way you can be at peace with God is to have a relationship with Him. That comes through receiving His Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord. Do you know Him as your personal Savior and Lord?
Giving your life to Jesus changes everything. Jesus came to reveal who God is and to restore our relationship with Him. No matter your past mistakes or your present fears, Jesus can give you a new life in Him. All you need to do is put your faith in Him.
Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness from our sins and to give us new life in Him.
You can say this simple prayer. Make sure it is from your heart.
“God, I know that I have sinned. I am reaching out to you because I want forgiveness. I believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!”
Pray about it: Meditate on God’s Word (Nehemiah 3:29-31) and this week’s message.
Adoration: What can I praise God for in light of what this teaches me?
Confession: What sin can I confess because of what this teaches me?
Thanksgiving: What can I thank God for in light of what he has done?
Supplication: What do I need to ask of God in order to grow in light of this?
