Sermon Talks
- What caught your attention in this week’s message? Was there something you had never heard before or something you had a question about?
- Do you remember a time where you had to refocus? Explain.
- In the first three weeks of our Refocus series, what have we talked about that has been the most impactful for you? What has been the most challenging? What changes have you made or need to make?
- Read the following verses: Deuteronomy 30:6, Ezekiel 36:26-27, Psalm 51:10, Proverbs 4:23, Ephesians 1:18, Hebrews 3:12-13, Hebrews 4:12. What do these verses say about the importance of the heart? What is the spiritual condition of your heart?
- One of the points to this week’s sermon was to live with intention; to set spiritual goals and make decisions with purpose. Have you set any spiritual goals for 2025?
- God is a God of transformation. Living a transformed life consists of applying the changes God brings in practical ways. How have you been living a transformed life? What areas need more of your attention?
- Read Romans 8:31-39. How can you be encouraged through what Paul is saying? Do these verses motivate you in any way? If so, how?
- If you have not already, begin consistently praying for God to help you “refocus” this new year. Put an intentional, daily, plan together to spend time with Him and grow in your relationship with Him through Jesus.
Pray about it: Meditate on God’s Word (Ezekiel 36:26-27, Romans 8:1-8; 28-39, Colossians 1:16-17) and this week’s message.
Adoration: What can I praise God for in light of what this teaches me?
Confession: What sin can I confess because of what this teaches me?
Thanksgiving: What can I thank God for in light of what he has done?
Supplication: What do I need to ask of God in order to grow in light of this?
