In the first four verses of chapter ten, Paul describes the Jews as having “zeal for the Lord” but without truly knowing Him. In what ways have you seen the Jews’ passion for God in scripture? How could someone have a passion for the things of God, but not “know” Him? As in Paul’s day, people can pursue righteousness the wrong way. What are some examples of this? What is the Biblical way to pursue righteousness? In verses 6-13, what do we learn about salvation? What are the two key elements to salvation? How does God use both the message and the messenger to draw people to Himself? Who is He calling you to be a messenger to?
