An example might be: “Holy Spirit, open my heart and my mind to your truth today. Help me be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.” What about pride can be so destructive to relationships? What about pride is counterintuitive to the Christian life? How does the Gospel transform the way you think about yourself? What are some examples of thinking too highly of yourself? How does the Gospel fight that tendency? How does the Gospel promote unity in the local church despite the huge diversity of people? How can pride destroy that unity? Have you ever taken a spiritual gift test? If so, how has God gifted you? If not, consider taking one.
